• Transport group Arriva has acquired a 49% stake in Italian bus business SAB Autoservizi and entered into a joint venture with Polish train operator PCC

• Mobile phone software company Bibcom has received £120,000 investment from South Yorkshire Investment Fund

• Industrial sanitary solutions and coatings company Proventec has purchased an 80% stake in cleaning firm Contico Manufacturing for £5.5 million

• Glass engineer firm Lattimer has undergone a management buy-out for £4 million

• Private equity house 3i’s German manufacturing firm Wendt Holding has been bought by Swiss Winterthur Technologie for €100 million (£67.4 million)

• Innovise has agreed to buy Data Technology Group for £4.4 million, adding to its software supplying portfolio

• Moneysupermarket.com, which runs financial and travel sites, plans to float onto the LSE

• 3i Growth Capital is to invest $57 million (£28.5 million) in Bermuda-based hedge fund administrator Fulcrum

• Sports Direct International’s subsidiary Brand Holdings is acquiring US sports equipment company Everlast Worldwide for $168 million (£84 million)

• Irish support services provider Newcourt has announced its acquisition intentions in the UK and Ireland , following an endorsed share issuing valued up to €120 million (£80.9 million)

• Associated Dental Practices is set to add to its dental group by acquiring Oasis healthcare for £85 million, after the vendor backed out of a £77 million deal with private equity firm Duke Street Capital

• Engineering company Cordell Group has bought panel building and site instillation industry Cranford Control Systems for an undisclosed sum
