• ASD Metal Services has acquired Westok steel distributors for an undisclosed sum

• UK heat treatment firm Bodycote International has acquired China ’s Ningbo Jiangdong Ruidahong for undisclosed sum

• Beasmart Aluminium Tubes, formerly Bayswater Tubes, has gone through a management buy-out

• James Fisher and Sons, a supplier of electronic marine navigation and communications equipment, has been subject to a £400,000 management buy-out

• CBG insurance and financial services provider has acquired GF Baskeyfield & Co for about £1.2 million

• Hampton Dean has bought Victoria Financial Management, creating a combined independent financial advice group with 70 staff

• Ten Alps media company has acquired DBDA, the factual media company with 25 staff, for £3.3 million

• Vospers Motor House has acquired Sidwell Motors, a Fiat car dealership with 28 staff, for an undisclosed amount

• Just Car Clinics has added Trinity Motors to its car accident repair business for £100,000, transferring 45 staff

• Metal-works company Corus is to invest £5 million in the expansion of steel slab production at its Port Talbot Steelworks
